Auction Decorator is a fast and easy way to create custom templates. Use your keyboard to type the ad's content and use your mouse to do the rest. You will never be asked to enter any kind of 'code'.
Creating and publishing an auction involves three easy steps : 1) Compose - 2) Decorate - 3) Publish. That's it!
1 - The Document Editor tab
This is where you write and format the text for your auction. If you have used text processors like OpenOffice*, Abiword* or Microsoft Word*, Auction Decorator's internal editor will look familiar.
Insert as many product pictures as you wish in your documents. Adapt you text font, size, style and color. Add you logo, tag lines, create tables, links, you name it. Everything is there!
Drag and drop any element to any place within the document (words, paragraphs, tables, images etc.). Documents can be saved, reloaded and edited as necessary. When done with your text, click the Layout tab.
2 - The Layout Editor tab
Your ad's text is automatically transfered to the Layout Editor.
Click your mouse on the controls to enhance the presentation of your listing. Define the size and position of your ad. Add decorative elements such as background pictures, choose colors that suit the product you are selling etc.
Freely switch tabs to make changes. Your choices will be preserved.
Create a new layout for each of your auctions or associate any text with any layout. Layouts can be saved, reloaded and edited as necessary. When ready, click the "Publish now" button.
3 - The Publish your auction step
The "Publish now" button is located top-right of the Layout tab. This is the final step. Before posting your auction, you will be given the opportunity to test for the online availability of all images used in your advertisement. You will also be able to preview your listing live with the built-in browser (reg. version only).
When the "Publish" button is clicked, Auction Decorator automatically creates whatever is necessary for your auction to be posted. Just follow the tips from the popup help window.
The publishing step will never ask you to enter confidential info such as your eBay user ID or password.
In any case, be assured that your buyers will see your advertisement exactly as you designed it with « The Decorator ».
